I've been holding out for a one lane road

To show me the way and take me home

A lonely heart and and aching soul

Is to waste away, or, so I've been told

The world upon my shoulders

Now weighs heaving in my boots

No use in running from the past

When I'm stuck here in my roots

It's harder to forgive myself

Than finding out the truth

From a different life, just because

To survive, to be loved

The sun that set on yesterday
