I See Planes

I see planes lining up over Seatac International
Just south of Seattle
Where coffee lovers are fanatical
There must be something in the water
In and around the puget sound
It's 55 and cloudy feeling like shorts weather
It could be warmer but
That wouldn't make it better
There must be something in the rain
Drowning the sense in this town
I see snow covered mountains
Turn to rivers in the summer
Cold enough to kill
Strong enough to drag you under
Fresh water doesn't ebb and flow
Quite like the water you may know
I'm just a stone's throw away from where I grew up
In a town that's not a town
That good ol' city of Puyallup
I'd die as happy as a clam
If I never stepped foot in that place again
I'm too old to believe
That I'll ever leave this place
But I'm too young to admit
I never want to
